History of Dumai Refinery


Dumai Refinery consists of 2 refinery units, namely the refinery operating in Dumai, Riau and in Sungai Pakning, Riau. The first refinery built was the Sungai Pakning Refinery where this refinery began construction in 1969, followed by the Dumai Refinery which began construction in 1981. The Dumai Refinery has very strategic value and plays an important role, because it contributes to supplying 16% of national energy needs, especially in the North Sumatra (Sumbagut) region and parts of Kalimantan. Historically, the Dumai Refinery is also known by the local community as the "Putri Tujuh Oil Refinery", because in it there is the Putri Tujuh Refinery which is part of the history and legend of the Putri Tujuh related to the origins of Dumai City.

Capacity and Product Output of Dumai Refinery


Dumai Refinery is the third largest Oil Processing Refinery in Indonesia with a complexity level / NCI of 7.5. This refinery has a total capacity of 170 MBPOD with product outputs of Solar, Avtur, Pertalite, Pertadex, MFO-LS, LSFO, UCO, NBF, Smooth Fluid, LPG and Green Coke.
