Kilang Pertamina Internasional Successfully Held Indonesia Knowledge Management Summit 2024
Jakarta, 19 December 2024 – PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI) continues its commitment to building a sustainable business through a culture of innovation. As a concrete form of this commitment, KPI is again holding a conference and competition event as a platform for academics and practitioners in the real implementation of the principles of Environment, Social, Governance (ESG).
KPI successfully held an innovation conference entitled Indonesia Knowledge Management Summit (IKMS) at Patra Bali Resorts & Villas in mid-December 2024. The event was opened directly by the President Director of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional, Taufik Aditiyawarman and the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, Suahasil Nazara.
The conference, which was held for the 2nd time, was attended by no less than 300 innovators from academics from various universities throughout Indonesia, practitioners from various companies and individual researchers, raising the main theme "Accelerating Energy Transitions through ESG Frameworks and Knowledge Management".
On that occasion, Taufik conveyed that the concept of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) which is an important foundation in ensuring the energy transition is not only oriented towards environmental sustainability, but also considers social aspects and good governance.
"The second IKMS activity is a very important momentum for the growth of synergy in sharing knowledge and innovation between the business world, education and society. Knowledge Management itself is a culture that has been cultivated in KPI for decades and plays a key role in accelerating innovation and sharing practical solutions to overcome the challenges of the energy transition," said Taufik.
Meanwhile, Prof. Suahasil Nazara, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia who was present to give a keynote speech, appreciated KPI's steps in holding IKMS as a collaboration platform between innovators from various stakeholders. On that occasion, Suahasil Nazara also gave a presentation entitled "Transition Energy and Its Relation to Future Indonesian Economic Conditions".
Presenting Innovation Panels and Competitions
IKMS 2024 is packaged by presenting various main agendas, namely seminars, panel discussions and innovation competitions. The seminar panel took energy themes covering energy transition, Good Corporate Governance in Sustainability, and Decarbonization. The panel presented a number of panelists including Taufik Aditiyawarman, President Director of KPI, who shared knowledge with the title "Encouraging Energy Transition Goals through Strategic Leadership".
Also present were Yunus Saefulhak, as Head of the Bureau of Energy Policy Facilitation and Meetings of the Secretariat General of the National Energy Council with Fahmi Hamim Dereinda as Senior Expert III Sustainability Strategy of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional, Finance Director of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy, Tbk., Yurizki Rio and Decarbonization Expert from the Indonesian Renewable Energy Society (METI), Budi Basuki, and Chief of Process Engineering & Improvement of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional, Isnandhi Dwi Saputro.
In addition to various seminar agendas and panel discussions inviting various experts in the field of energy transition, this year's IKMS is also a forum for hundreds of researchers and innovators in Indonesia to present their research and innovative solutions in the form of Paper Presentations related to the acceleration of the energy transition seen from environmental, social, governance, knowledge management, and energy transition aspects themselves.
The IKMS activity successfully selected 80 of the best papers from 558 papers submitted to be presented during the IKMS agenda. The series of IKMS agendas were then closed with the announcement of the Paper Presentation winners which produced 3 best papers from each sub-topic as well as the announcement of the best poster and presenter.
IKMS is real evidence of the commitment of KPI quality personnel. For years, Quality Personnel at PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional have gone global in innovation forums that include the Istanbul International Invention Fair (ISIF) in Turkey, the International Invention, Innovation, and Technology Competition & Exhibition (ITEX) in Malaysia, Taiwan Innotech Expo (TIE), International Trade Fair for Ideas, Inventions & New Products (iENA) in Germany.
IKMS is also proof of KPI's commitment not only to achieving the company's internal targets (tacit knowledge), but also to fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing in the wider Indonesian community.
